German Championship Osnabrueck 2019
The Piesberg in Osnabrueck hosted the penultimate round of the German Championship. It has a long history from World Championships to European and youth competitions. Traditionally organised in October, the still active quarry changes every year with mostly old school slippery sections challenging the riders.
Franzi Kadlec showed everybody again why he is the reigning German Champion with a dominant victory on both days. With a total score of only 5 marks on saturday, it's safe to say his setup was on point.
Franzi's team mate, young up-and-coming Paul Raumschüssel, had a brilliant ride on saturday which earned him second place. Due to overnight rainfall the sections changed quite a bit and made him drop to fifth place on sunday.
Part of the sections were located in the forrest and offered some rather slippery sections.
Our very own video wizard Jan Peters was competing as well this weekend. A few mistakes on the first day gave him 4th overall. He managed to regroup for day two however and landed on the final podium spot.
Man-built sections or natural rocks, Franzi makes it all look easy with a smooth and efforltess style.
Newly crowned Trial2 Womens World Champion Vivian Vachs was also on hand competing in the womens class. She classified 4th on both days.
What's better than winning both rounds in the same weekend? Being crowned Champion with still one round to go. Franzi Kadlec is your 2019 German Champion!
Congrats Sarah Bauer on the win and the German title!
